Packaging and printing inputs in Yiwu

Printing and packaging machinery, packaging raw materials and food processing machinery trade on floor 2 of the International Production Materials Market, which holds more than 4,200 booths across four category floors. Leather raw materials and accessories sit on floor 4 of the same building.

This is a production-inputs market rather than a consumer market: the buyer is usually a factory or a packaging supplier, not a retailer.

What to check before you order

Machinery is a specification purchase. Ask for the model, the capacity and the power supply, and ask for the service and parts arrangements in writing, because the after-sales terms are where machinery deals are won or lost.

For packaging raw materials, ask for the material specification and the compliance documents that apply in the destination market for the finished pack.

Where the mistakes happen

Machinery bought on appearance rather than specification is the classic loss: the output is lower than assumed and the running cost higher. Agree an acceptance test before shipment and write it into the contract.

The second failure is a supplier promising a service network that exists only in name. Ask for the address of the nearest service point and for a customer reference in your region.

We do not publish per-stall prices. Ask each supplier for the unit price at three quantities and at the same specification, and treat any level quoted on this page as a starting point for negotiation rather than a market rate.
